Zoe’s career in dentistry started in 1996 and she achieved the National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 1999. Her dedication to continuous improvement has seen her augment her skills with certificates in Radiography and Dental Implantology. With her depth of knowledge and experience she is ideally suited to the role of Treatment Coordinator and is always accessible to assist you with questions or concerns you may have about any element of your care
In addition Zoe has been the Practice Manager at Black Swan since its foundation in 2009. As an active member of the association of Dental Administrators and Managers she continues to attend management and development courses in order to ensure that Black Swan remains at the cutting edge of developments in legislation, compliance and processes. Leading a team with more than 20 dedicated members is a challenge she has embraced wholeheartedly and she continues to inspire the commitment and dedication of each and every one of them.
Being involved from the outset in the development of your Spa has been a great journey that she has enjoyed immensely and she looks forward to future challenges in bringing excellent care and service to our patients.
Claire Bird has worked in administrative roles for the past 20+ years. These include positions in a solicitor’s office, a family business, and production control for a large factory.
Switching professions, Claire spent some time as a carer, which she found both rewarding and enjoyable, but she missed the organisational side of working in administration. Claire has found Black Swan to be her perfect balance, to be able to both interact with the patients, and the paperwork. We are very lucky to have Claire on the team !
Claire is big on reading, enjoys riding on the back of her husband’s motorbike, and also loves exploring the countryside with her three border collies. She has recently completed level one and two of hoopers classes with them !
Sarah Joined us in June of 2023 where she serves as one of our main receptionists to welcome you into the practice or take any enquires in person or over the phone regrading your Dental needs & appointments.
She has a background in customer facing roles throughout her career where she has recently come from the 5 star luxury hotel sector. Sarah’s aim is to provided the highest level of service to all patients who come to Black Swan Dental spa to make them feel welcomed and cosseted from the moment they arrive at the practice.
In Sarah’s spare time she enjoys cooking where her claim to frame is for cooking Italian themed meals. Also during her downtime she enjoys sitting down by the sea in all types of weathers. Sarah has a passion for sewing, she has recently bought herself a sewing machine and is aiming to teach herself to use it.
Sharon is a key part of our “front of house” reception team. She has been with the team for many years with her bubbly, outgoing nature has made her a real hit with patients and fellow team members.
With a background in retail banking she has added her meticulous organisational skills, a friendly smile and ready to please attitude to the mix of skills of the Black Swan Spa team.
Outside of work, Sharon enjoys walking her two dogs, and keeping fit at the gym. Her three ducks often mean that she often treats her colleagues with fresh eggs.
Andrea had worked in dentistry for over 20 years and joined the team at Black Swan Dental Spa in September 2016. She thoroughly enjoys being part of the team and relishes being able to take on many roles including dental nursing, finance administration, reception work and organising our specialist dental services. She particularly enjoys working on cosmetic dentistry and facial rejuvenation and loves to be able to help patients achieve the smiles they long for which generate the confidence they deserve.
Away from Black Swan, Andrea enjoys spending time with her children and travelling, in particular to her favourite destination New York. In summer she loves spending time in her garden and cycling around the Somerset countryside.
With a particular talent for helping our most nervous patients feel at ease she can always be found with a big smile on her face.
Regan Qualified as a Dental nurse in 2016 and went onto be a specialist nurse in Bristol before deciding she wanted a new challenge.
This brought Regan to apply for the TCO position here at Black Swan Dental Spa where she wanted to engage with patients more closely as she is passionate about making the patients Journey as positive and memorable experience from beginning to end while on your Patient Journey with Black Swan Dental.
During her downtime when Regan isn’t working she enjoys festivals, walking her Dog Edie and also loves baking it up like she is on The Great British bake off.
Charlie R Hutchings
Charlie R Hutchings
Having always had a love for film and photography from a very young age Charlie has taken this
passion for what he considers an art form through most of his life so far. Which later led Charlie to College to
study Creative media studies and then a few years later he attended university and studied
Film, television and digital production, achieving a 2:1 overall in his bachelors degree in 2022.
Taking the skills he has learnt from both his educational and personal life Charlie has put it all together to
find a job that he could put these skills into which led him to working at Black Swan Dental spa today as
the practices official videographer, with his role growing to being the practices Digital Producer where he now runs the Black Swan media and marketing department.
Nadine has worked in Dentistry for twenty years, gaining her Dental Nurse qualification in 1999. Her early career saw her gaining experience through working in a number of different practices in the UK and even as far as Australia.
One of the Black Swan veterans, she has been part of the team for many years, her main role is that of Reception Manager. Nobody understands the importance of first impressions more than Nadine. Her welcoming smile and friendly demeanour means that she has grown to become a memorable first point of contact for our patients.
Her growing interest in, and knowledge of, the field of facial rejuvenation has seen her attend advanced courses in order to better present the benefits of the available treatment to our patients.
