Louise is currently completing her nursing qualification and has a big future ahead. Considering Louise has never worked in a clinical environment before she has picked things up very quickly !
Louise went to Sixth form and studied English Literature and Language, she also went to college and studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology which all contribute to knowledge within the Dental Industry.
She hopes to travel to Australia to pursue her nursing career over there, as well as other countries. Louise loves a chat with the patients, she’s very bubbly and enjoys meeting new people. She loves getting to know the patients on a personal level which is what Black Swan Dental Spa is all about. She has fitted in very well with the team so far and cannot wait to complete her qualification.
Beth is our newest Dental Nurse here at Black Swan Dental Spa. She started working in dentistry in 2013 and gained the National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 2015.
Her favourite type of dentistry is cosmetic treatments, helping to make patients feel at ease while achieving the smile they dream of. Beth is a keen learner and wishes to develop her nursing skills but also enjoys getting to know patients better while being a member of our reception team.
Outside of work Beth enjoys baking, reading and going to the gym.
Beccy has been involved in dentistry since 1988 and qualified as a dental nurse in 1996. She joined Black Swan Dental Spa in 2018 and is loves helping our patients achieve the smiles they want.
Beccy is always ready to help, enthusiastic and keen to learn new ideas, skills and knowledge from working at Black Swan. She loves being part of the team and is always smiling, brightening up our day.
In her spare time she enjoys relaxing with her two children, running and gardening.
Lucy joined Black Swan Dental Spa in 2018. She has been in dentistry since 2007, gaining the National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 2009, and achieving her BDA Radiography certificate in 2019. Being a locum nurse was a great experience for Lucy as she gained a huge amount of understanding in all aspects of dentistry, meaning she is able to take on any challenges that may come her way.
At Black Swan, Lucy enjoys helping our patients’ journey to be the best one possible. Her greatest satisfaction is seeing a nervous patient smile with happiness and confidence after their visit. Making patients feel at ease is so important to Lucy, she is a great asset to our team.
Outside of work, Lucy has a love for baking, road cycling, keeping fit in the gym, and travelling to new countries
Kelly joined the team at Black Swan in 2015 having started her career as a dental nurse in 2002 and obtaining her National Certificate 2007. Her extensive range of experience means that she is able to turn her hand to all aspects of dental nursing and she particularly enjoys working on the surgical side of dentistry.
She holds a qualification in Dental Radiology and has just embarked on the challenging role of Implant Co-ordinator, which will see her involved with every element of the Dental Implant patients’ journey.
An organised and efficient, as well as a caring, individual she has also been involved with stock control and staff rotas.
Away from Black Swan she has the joy of being the mum of a two-year-old son and, when time allows, enjoys her friends, running and a good book.
Sandra started her career as a dental nurse in Sharjah in the UAE in the 1980s where the experience of doing “everything” including reception work has stood in her in good stead for the rest of her career. Her dedication saw her qualify by taking a correspondence course through Bristol Dental Hospital and then returning to the UK to sit, and pass, her exams at Guys Hospital.
On returning to the UK in 1999 she worked in London and then relocated to Dorset where she joined a practice than subsequently merged with Black Swan. A true team player, Sandra thrives on helping gain the trust and confidence of nervous patients.
With an enquiring mind she is always seeking to expand her knowledge both of her profession and in other areas. In recent times she has studied with the Open University and completed a counselling course. She enjoys the gym, walking and sailing.
Mia completed her secondary school education at Stanchester Academy in June 2019. She is now enrolled at Strode college on the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Beauty Therapy. Health and Beauty are subjects that are of great interest to Mia, so to expand her knowledge and variety in the subject she has joined the team as a Decontamination Nurse.
Outside of college and work she enjoys spending time with her friends, training at the local Nuffield Gym and planning for future worldwide travel.
