Beccy has been involved in dentistry since 1988 and qualified as a dental nurse in 1996. She joined Black Swan Dental Spa in 2018 and is loves helping our patients achieve the smiles they want.
Beccy is always ready to help, enthusiastic and keen to learn new ideas, skills and knowledge from working at Black Swan. She loves being part of the team and is always smiling, brightening up our day.
In her spare time she enjoys relaxing with her two children, running and gardening.
Lucy Joined black swan dental Spa in 2018. She has been in dentistry for since 2007 and gained the National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 2009. She has also been a locum nurse where she gained a huge amount of experience in all aspects of dentistry being able to take on any challenges that may come her way.
At Black Swan Lucy enjoys helping our patients journey to be the best one possible. Lucy’s greatest satisfaction is seeing a nervous patient smile with happiness and confidence after they have visited us, and they can’t wait to return again. Making patients feel at ease is so important.
Black Swan encourages staff to widen their knowledge and Lucy plans to take her dental radiography qualification in 2019.
Outside of work Lucy has a love for baking, road cycling, keeping fit in the gym and travelling to new countries.
Kelly joined the team at Black Swan in 2015 having started her career as a dental nurse in 2002 and obtaining her National Certificate 2007. Her extensive range of experience means that she is able to turn her hand to all aspects of dental nursing and she particularly enjoys working on the surgical side of dentistry.
She holds a qualification in Dental Radiology and has just embarked on the challenging role of Implant Co-ordinator, which will see her involved with every element of the Dental Implant patients’ journey.
An organised and efficient, as well as a caring, individual she has also been involved with stock control and staff rotas.
Away from Black Swan she has the joy of being the mum of a two-year-old son and, when time allows, enjoys her friends, running and a good book.
Sandra started her career as a dental nurse in Sharjah in the UAE in the 1980s where the experience of doing “everything” including reception work has stood in her in good stead for the rest of her career. Her dedication saw her qualify by taking a correspondence course through Bristol Dental Hospital and then returning to the UK to sit, and pass, her exams at Guys Hospital.
On returning to the UK in 1999 she worked in London and then relocated to Dorset where she joined a practice than subsequently merged with Black Swan. A true team player, Sandra thrives on helping gain the trust and confidence of nervous patients.
With an enquiring mind she is always seeking to expand her knowledge both of her profession and in other areas. In recent times she has studied with the Open University and completed a counselling course. She enjoys the gym, walking and sailing.
Julia has been involved in dentistry since 1988 gaining her national certificate for dental nurses in 2000.
She has also achieved the certificate in implantology.
Her time in dentistry has also seen her working as a receptionist and a practice manager, this invaluable experience makes her a well rounded team manager. But it is caring for patients as Dental Nurse which she enjoys most and “where her heart lies”.
Fiona Denslow has been a dental nurse for over a decade and qualified with the National Certificate for Dental Nurses in November 2008.
A true team member with a friendly and sympathetic nature and a reassuring manner she is dedicated to making every visit the best it can possibly be for all her patients.
Like all members of the Black Swan Team she has been encouraged to expand her knowledge of all aspects of dentistry. She studyied radiography and qualified in September 2017.

Sarah is one of our dedicated team of Dental Nurses. After an early career in pharmacy dispensing she made the move to Dental Care in 2004 and obtained her National Certificate in Dental Nursing a few years later.
Adaptable, experienced and caring she is happiest when helping her patients control and overcome any fears they may have. “Dentistry can sometimes have a poor reputation but I know the benefits and life changing results we can deliver for our patients.”
