Laser Dentistry

At Black Swan Dental Spa we offer soft tissue diode laser treatment for a wide range of dental procedures.

Lasers are an instrument that produces a very narrow, intense beam of light energy.  When laser light comes into contact with tissue, it causes a reaction, the light produced by the laser can remove or reshape tissues.

Lasers can be used as a safe and effective treatment for many dental procedures and are often used in conjunction with other instruments.

Some of the treatments include:

• To expose partially erupted wisdom teeth
• Remove overgrown tissue s caused by some medications
• Manage gum tissues during impressions for dental procedures
• Remove inflamed gum tissues and aid in the treatment of gum disease
• Reshape gum tissue during crown lengthening procedures
• Help treat infection in root canals

There are several advantages to using lasers during dental procedures.  We may not need to use a drill or anaesthesia in certain procedures, providing a more relaxed dental experience.  Lasers can be more precise for some treatments.  They can help reduce symptoms and healing times associated with some traditional therapies and reduce the number of bacteria in both diseased gum tissue and tooth cavities and help control bleeding during surgical procedures.

Dental lasers are as safe as any other dental instrument if used according to accepted practices by a trained practitioner.

Although the laser is a very useful instrument it is not appropriate for every dental procedure, your clinician will discuss the suitability of using the laser with you.

Recently had my first hygienist appointment with Claire. Made to feel comfortable throughout the treatment by both Claire & her assistant.

I went to the invisalign open day and the service was wonderful and it's such a beautiful place. All the staff were lovely and really helpful. Unfortunately due to personal matters, I was unable to commit to going ahead with the invisalign treatment on the day however I will be going ahead with this treatment once I am able to. I didnt realise that once you attend one open day, you are unable to attend another, which is unfortunate as the offers on the open day are incredible, If I had known, I wouldnt have booked onto this open day however, I wanted to find out more information and thought this would be a good opportunity to do so and this was how it was advertised to me. The owner was great and did offer to extend the offer available on the day for a fixed period, but due to personal circumstances, again, I didn't feel it was sensible to commit. I did find out more about what the treatment would look like for me, which is what I wanted and I'll be back as soon as I can to go ahead with treatment and hopefully be able to benefit from the offers available today. If I wasnt having issues with our new build home, absolutely would have gone ahead! I am sure everyone who went ahead with their invisalign journey today will have a wonderful experience and thank you to the staff for a wonderful morning and being so helpful.
