Dental Nurses

Carly began her dental nursing career in 2005 and has developed broad expertise across dental implants, maxillofacial, oral surgery and orthodontics.

She holds advanced qualifications in radiography, CBCT scanning, intraoral scanning, implant nursing and dental sedation.

As lead dental nurse, Carly is especially passionate about implants, sedation and supporting anxious patients.

Outside of work, She enjoys walking her two dogs, Lando & Vayda. Also likes to go Paddle boarding, travelling with her Tentbox, Motorsports and the occasional Bourbon Biscuit.

Lucy joined Black Swan Dental Spa in 2018. She has been in dentistry since 2007, gaining the National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 2009, and achieving her BDA Radiography certificate in 2019. Being a locum nurse was a great experience for Lucy as she gained a huge amount of understanding in all aspects of dentistry, meaning she is able to take on any challenges that may come her way.

At Black Swan, Lucy enjoys helping our patients’ journey to be the best one possible. Her greatest satisfaction is seeing a nervous patient smile with happiness and confidence after their visit. Making patients feel at ease is so important to Lucy, she is a great asset to our team.

Outside of work, Lucy has a love for baking, road cycling, keeping fit in the gym, and travelling to new countries

Saskia began her dental career in 2022 and has since gained additional qualifications in dental radiography and intraoral scanning. She has a strong passion for infection control and currently serves as the practice’s Maintenance and Infection control lead.

Saskia enjoys all areas of dentistry, with particular interests in orthodontics and periodontics. Her bubbly personality and calming manner helps put patients at ease during treatments.

Outside of work, Saskia enjoys bike rides and spending quality time with friends and family.

Luchy has recently joined our team here at Black Swan Dental Spa. Having moved from Argentina just five years ago, she achieved her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2019.

Luchy works hard to ensure patients feel comfortable and confident in the care they’re receiving here at the spa. She is both calm and professional, and loves chatting with new patients. You can count on Luchy to brighten up your day !

Although Luchy misses Argentina, she loves living in Somerset with her husband and two, mini lop-eared rabbits.

Beccy has been involved in dentistry since 1988 and qualified as a dental nurse in 1996.  She joined Black Swan Dental Spa in 2018 and is loves helping our patients achieve the smiles they want.

Beccy is always ready to help, enthusiastic and keen to learn new ideas, skills and knowledge from working at Black Swan.  She loves being part of the team and is always smiling, brightening up our day.

In her spare time she enjoys relaxing with her two children, running and gardening.

Emily qualified as dental nurse in April 2018. Prior to joining Black Swan in July 2023, she spent two years working as a locum dental nurse, gaining a board range of experience across various practices and clinical settings. This has given her valuable insight into different approaches with dentistry.

Emily is passionate about ensuring patients feel relaxed and at ease throughout their visit. She believes that comfort in the dental chair is just as important as the treatment itself.

She is dedicated to ongoing learning and development and is currently qualified in intraoral scanning. She also currently studying towards her qualification in Dental Radiography.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time outside in nature and has a keen interest in wellness and skincare.

Lucia is a qualified dental nurse who earned her national certificate in Dental Nursing in 2007. She has a strong interest in smile makeovers and dental implants, and is also a skilled in sedation and as a implant nurse.

In addition, She is trained in dental photography, suture removal, and intraoral scanning.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys walking – often with her Border Collie and reading in her spare time.

Caitlin has recently completed her A levels in uniformed protective services.

When she joined us as a trainee Dental Nurse where she said ”I am very excited to start a new chapter as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Also I look forward to supporting patients during their journey at the Black Swan Dental Spa”.

Caitlin thrives to learn new skills and gain knowledge within the dental sector.

During her free time she enjoys horse riding, baking, and walking her pet retriever.

Katie is Black swan’s newest member of staff to join us as a trainee dental nurse. she is excited to join the team and welcome patients as she learns the craft of dentistry.

She recently finished her A-levels exams and is looking forward to becoming a dental nurse in the future.

In her free time she enjoys reading her favourite novels, baking and Horse-riding.
