Our practice is remaining open & remaining safe during the Covid-19 Pandemic
We would like to inform both our patients and those looking into having treatment at Black Swan Dental Spa of our Covid-19 procedures for before, during & after your appointment with us to keep both yourself and our team safe.
Before your Appointment
To ensure that you have all the information easily to hand, we may send you key information before your appointment – including who you will be seeing, what treatment you will be having, the cost of your treatment and, what to do when you arrive. You will be emailed a link to the practice portal to complete relevant documents such as medical history form and Covid-19 screening questions.
On the day of your Appointment
Before you leave for the practice, we ask that where possible, you have already visited the lavatory, have ensured that you are hydrated and already brushed your teeth. It is important that you please bring the minimum amount of items with you (such as bags, coats etc.)
To minimise risk, we recommend you attend your appointment alone unless you require assistance or are supporting a child or someone vulnerable. We are encouraging card payments where possible, but we will accept cash if necessary.
Entering the Practice
On arrival please put your mask on, knock on the front door to alert the receptionists to your presence, if you do not have a face mask on we will provide one for you and show you how to place this on correctly. Before entering the practice one of our colleagues will take your temperature and ask if you have had any symptoms of Covid-19 in the past two weeks. If you have, you will not be able to enter the practice and will need to follow Government guidelines around self-isolating. If you have not had any symptoms, you will be invited into the practice.
On entering the practice, you will be asked to sanitise your hands and you will need to leave any loose belongings like your coat or bag in the designated box provided, these are disinfected between each patient. Our receptionists will be behind protective plastic screens, this is for the safety of everyone. You will then be guided to the treatment room.
Upon entering the treatment room, our teams will be wearing extra Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as in order to provide you with the right care and service, they cannot adhere to social distancing recommendations. This may mean that it is more difficult to see our colleagues and clinicians’ faces, but please be reassured that they will be the usual friendly team. All treatment rooms now have additional cleaning and disinfecting measures between each patient. When we are ready, we will ask you to remove your face covering to start your treatment.
After your Appointment
When your treatment is complete, you will be asked to sanitise your hands and asked to replace your face covering, the nurse will take you back down to reception to collect your belongings from the box. Payment at reception can be contactless or card, using our freshly sanitised card machines. If you have any questions after the appointment, we will be able to call you to discuss this further as our aim is to minimise your time in the practice, for your own safety.
We look forward to treating you soon !
